Marbling is an ancient surface design technique where dyes or pigments are floated on the surface of a liquid (usually thickened water or a plant-based gel), then carefully manipulated into patterns using combs, rakes, or styluses. Once the design is formed, the fabric is gently laid on top to absorb the image—capturing the exact moment of flow, movement, and intention.
