We Are Grateful to be Home after Cave Fire Thank You FireFighters All
What a Week! Another Fire in Santa Barbara, over 5,000 had to evacuate. We also had our bags packed by the door. Smoke, Wind, Fire and Thanksgiving around the corner.
We have had so many fires now in SB that we all have some form of fire ptsd. But it's a force of nature and everything, the normal daily life falls away under the threat...especially 85 mph winds of the #Cavefire
And the reason we can be home, is our faithful and true Firefighters. Really and truly, we have gotten to depend on them totally over the past 10+ years with fires nearly every year.
When you drive around SB, children put up signs of flying Hearts, Thank you Fire Fighters! We toot at the big red fire engines as they toll up and down the ridges, and come back dirty, dusty and smokey. Champions. Heros.
We have unpacked, and are cozy this weekend because of our Fire-People and the glorious beautiful unbelievable Rain Rain Rain!
